We rescue farmed and working animals from neglect, abuse, and slaughter, and give them something they have never known before:

Since 2018, we have helped over 7,400 animals escape a harsh reality and begin a life free from fear. Some go on to carefully chosen homes forever. Others stay with us for life.

How Pear Tree Farm Began
Our story began just before Christmas in 2018.
Three huge pigs were booked in for the slaughterhouse. We couldn’t say no.
Those three pigs changed everything.
What started as an urgent act of compassion became a sanctuary, a place where animals who were once seen as commodities are finally seen as who they are: sentient, sensitive beings deserving of love.
Love, compassion, and understanding sit at the heart of everything we do.

Meet Twist
A life that mattered.
Twist was one of 350 hens rescued from a commercial egg farm.
She arrived with wry neck and a painful condition called sour crop. In barns of thousands, no one had noticed she was suffering.
We noticed.
Twist received daily treatment, gentle care, and love. Slowly, she improved. Her feathers grew back. She became brighter.
And then, suddenly, we lost her.
Saving hens means learning to live with loss. These animals have already been pushed beyond what their bodies can endure. Twist didn’t get the life she deserved, but she knew kindness before she died.
Millions of hens never get that chance.
We rescue them whenever we can. With your help, we always will.
